Mr. McNamara has extensive experience representing parties in all aspects of complex civil litigation and civil appeals, and has earned a reputation among his colleagues as a powerful advocate whose thorough attention to detail and creative strategies have resulted in a record of success in the courtroom.
Mr. McNamara's practice also focuses on providing legal guidance to families and individuals in all stages of estate planning, as well as representing parties in contested estate proceedings in the New York State Surrogate's Court.
His broad knowledge of both the procedural and substantive aspects of the law have resulted in Mr. McNamara's legal writings being published in prestigious law reviews and journals, including the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy with his commentary on the seminal United States Supreme Court decision 14 Penn Plaza v. Pyet in the article "Mandatory Labor Arbitration of Statutory Claims, and the Future of Fair Employment: 14 Penn Plaza v. Pyet."
Mr. McNamara is a graduate of Harvard University and attended law school at St. John's University, where he was the recipient of the St. Thomas More Scholarship, a full tuition academic merit scholarship. While at Harvard Mr. McNamara rowed all four years on the Heavyweight Crew Team, which won the national championship while he was a member in 2003 and 2004.
